Battle Bird

This bird has been through many tough times. If you look closely, you will see the battle gash on his face. Most people will tell that is just part of his feathers, but I know this. He is a bird of the battle.

Watchful Dog

See the dog? That dog over there? The one sitting? She is our guardian, our savior. She watches us day and night, protecting us from every harm. She leaps to our aid when needed. We, my child, are safe, while under the eye of the watchful dog.

Sharp Eyed Cat

Look at the eyes of this cat. If you stare into them long enough, you begin to see (or what I see) a stormy ocean, rough but graceful. Wow.

Earth Bird

This is what I think of the Earth. The good and the bad mixed together to make a safe but chaotic enviorment. The bird, in the center of the photo, represents humanity. It lives in the world of balance between bad and good.

Shining Star

The Animal Kingdom

The animal kingdom is filled with almost an infinite variety of creatures. Scientists discover new species and sub species every year. Each one is a wonder onto itself and one could labor for years to uncover its secrets. It is an unfortunate fact that the closest that most of us get to wildlife is through bars at the zoo. Our urban lifestyle has the effect of cutting us off from the glorious world of the animal kingdom. Every animal has a lesson to teach us that we are not hearing. We may think that we have evolved away from contact with animal kingdom, the question is, at what cost?

See, I was taking photos of the plants in my yard. This one caught my attention because of the snow on top of it. I mean, in the middle of winter, there is a bud in my yard?
